J. Desmond Clark
1916-2002

I met Desmond Clark at the Zambesi Boat Club in 1956 , we rowed together in coxless fine fours on the Zambezi River above Victoria Falls, for about a year and a half. We enjoyed a close cameraderie, as only there can be in a racing four, more particularly when there are crocodiles and hippo in the water.

Regrettably I have had no contact with Desmond since 1958 but remember him as a great guy, a great sportsman and a skilled oarsman.
